Preparing Chiloquin for the next 100 years.

With Chiloquin's first centennial just around the corner in 2026, we've got some exciting projects in the works to get our city ready for the next 100 years.

Over the past few years, the City Council has joined forces with various community partners, including The Klamath Tribes, Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP), Chiloquin Community Builders (CCB), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Klamath County, South Central Economic Development District (SCOEDD), and many more community members. Together, we've been hard at work crafting essential master plans, such as the Chiloquin Strategic Plan, Chiloquin Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan, Water Master Plan, Wastewater Master Plan, and the new Parks Master Plan. These plans serve as our roadmap for future projects and initiatives, all aimed at setting the stage for the city's next century.

Numerous initiatives stemming from these plans have given rise to various projects dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Chiloquin and ensuring the city's readiness for the years to come. These projects encompass a wide range of improvements, such as the establishment of a state-of-the-art water well and wastewater treatment facility, aimed at modernizing essential utility services for our community. Additionally, we're working on critical endeavors like introducing high-speed broadband and an emergency alert system, conducting environmental site assessments, revitalizing our downtown area and local economy, as well as enhancing our city's parks and roads.

To successfully carry out a multitude of these projects, it is essential to actively pursue grant funding. Securing grants not only supports the financing of these current initiatives but also lays the foundation for funding future projects that will benefit our community.
